To mobilize communities, Philadelphia and beyond, to protect their environment through citizen science, education, and action-oriented cleanups focused on mitigating plastic pollution.
Our Vision
Empowering passionate environmental stewards to lead communities towards a healthy, thriving future, free from the burden of plastic waste.
This Earth Day, the Samantha McBride Lab’s work on microplastic detection was featured on CBS Philadelphia. It's exciting (and a little surreal) to see our research highlighted on a public platform.
With microplastic pollution becoming a bigger challenge than ever, the need for fast, accessible, and scalable monitoring tools is only growing. Our team is working to expand those capabilities through fluorescence imaging technologies like FIMAP, with the goal of bridging gaps between communities, scientists, and policymakers to support informed decisions and meaningful environmental action. 🌎
Grateful to be part of a team pushing this work forward and thankful for the opportunity to share it with a broader audience.
