I had a great time hosting a tabling session for Penn Climate Week with Samantha McBride and Penn Engineering, and The Water Center at Penn , giving students a chance to see microplastics up close across a range of environmental and biological samples—from bottled water and tap water to the Schuylkill River, and even bird organs!
It was a resounding success, with lots of great conversations about where microplastics come from, where they end up, and what we can do to better understand their impacts.
And even under the bright lights of the event, the microplastics still managed to glow.
